Life

Today's thought is:

Life

Make each day count! Give yourself to every dawn of renewed hope. Look for love, forgiveness, and righteousness. Don't squander this day on cynicism, hate, envy, fault-finding, pessimism, gossip, doubt, or anger. Let the days of life not add up to years, but to moments of joy and love and happiness.

Doesn't everyone deserve this? Don't I deserve this?

Today, I will take time out to cherish my life.

I was once given a lesson with an orange. It is a lesson I treasure and remember often. Whenever life gets crazy and I'm feeling rushed and overwhelmed I remember my orange. If for some reason I don't remember it, my friend gently asks me the question: Where is your orange? The lesson of the orange is to stay in the moment. When I stay fully in the moment, using all my senses than life becomes only moments which I can get through without being overwhelmed. Today I am grateful for the lesson of the orange.

hmmm I eat at least one navel orange a day... I always have one around 10:30 a.m. as a snack. Its one of the quiet little "me" times I take during the day to just sit and enjoy something purely because its wonderful. I love navel oranges, and that one little moment I spend each day eating one really brightens my day. I know that sounds goofy, but its hard to be depressed after you eat an orange because they are so dang good!

So, maybe I am learning the lesson of the orange, and didn't even know it!

Ha, an orange. I have not heard of this. As I look to my left here, below one of my monitors I have this beauty sitting there. It is bright and I am sure so sweet. It stands out from the dark mahogany of my desk. It is one of the brightest elements on my desk (just realizing this) -- yet all day I failed to recognize its presence.

Thanks for this share today, funny how my HP wants me to find His messages in my daily life through others.

I really like this thought of the orange. I left a comment here yesterday but it seems that blogger ate it - it was taking a really really long time to go through.

You sound so good rex - how many more days?
