
It is possible to look at ourselves and see the part of us that is maimed and scruffy and love it.

After eight days of practice, my relationship to myself changed for the better and, not coincidentally, my relationship to others changed as well.

It is possible to see that wounded part of yourself and love it because sometimes it actually defines who you are. Sometimes we come to rely on that part to be the characteristic that separates us from the rest.
