See It Through

See It Through
By Edgar A. Guest

When you're up against a trouble,
Meet it squarely, face to face;
Lift your chin and set your shoulders,
Plant your feet and take a brace.
When it's vain to try to dodge it,
Do the best that you can do;
You may fail, but you may conquer,
See it through!

Black may be the clouds about you
And your future may seem grim,
But don't let your nerve desert you;
Keep yourself in fighting trim.
If the worst is bound to happen,
Spite of all that you can do,
Running from it will not save you,
See it through!

Even hope may seem but futile,
When with troubles you're beset,
But remember you are facing
Just what other men have met.
You may fail, but fall still fighting;
Don't give up, what've you do;
Eyes front, head high to the finish.
See it through!

I found this poem sometime ago. It made no sense to me but I kept it around. As I have begun clearing away all the wreckage of the pastand facing my fears it is making perfect sense. The key to life is to always get back up and to keep fighting. I have found that what once was my worst fear, my biggest battle, was placed in my path for a reason. I may not know what that reason is for quite sometime, maybe never, but as time goes by situations have presented themselves where I can be of service to another because I have made it to the finish line. Now I know that those are the reasons I have had to walk this path and face the struggles that I have. I am not in charge, a power greater than myself is running the show and nothing happens in my HP's world by accident. Thanks to a very special person who told me that my worst problems would one day be my biggest assest and for supportig me until the day arrived until I could see that for myself. I love ya!
